How often do you wash your linens?

Everyone one knows that with the change in weather comes cold and flu season.  Well, now that the weather is changing here in Shawnee, it’s even more important to do whatever we can to minimize the amount of germs that our bodies come in contact with in order to decrease our chances of getting sick.

A great way to do that is to wash your bed linens.  It shouldn’t be that much of a hassle here at Hampton Woods Apartments considering that our apartments come with washer and dryer connections, as well as a laundry room on site.

According to ehow.com, washing your sheets at least once a week in hot water will get rid of the dead skin cells (bacteria) and dust mites that build-up after a few nights’ sleep.  And if you have a dog or cat that sometimes makes his way on to your bed, you may want to wash them every couple days to rinse out dirt and pet dander that they bring.

Hopefully following this simple little tip will help keep you sniffles-free for the next few months!
