Make a Difference, and Go Green!
Have you joined the “green” movement? Going green is now a widespread effort, and those who once thought of it as being just one more expensive thing they were not going to do are now jumping on board. It’s becoming easier and easier to do it as we become more knowledgeable about what it takes. The truth is, it doesn’t take much time or effort at all to get started.
The easiest (and least expensive) place to start is right here in your apartment. It is important that you think of each room as a separate focus. That way, when you finish one, you can check it off your list of tasks and feel accomplished, versus looking at how much you haven’t done. While every room is important, the bathroom is a great place to begin. So what can you do? For starters, you can save water by shortening your showers. Easy enough, right? Also, do not run the water while you’re brushing your teeth. It’s just not necessary. Unless you’re running your toothbrush under it, keep the faucet turned to the off position! Conserve your toilet paper and paper towels and, if you’re doing some cleaning, use a cloth or old shirt instead.
These are just a few things you can do to start going green in your bathroom. Check out Suite101’s site for more, and if you can think of any additional tips, drop us a note below!
