If you’re planning on voting in the general election in Shawnee County, you’re running out of time. The deadline is tomorrow, March 21st with the election taking place on April 5th.
According to election commissioner Elizabeth Ensley, there are lots of permanent voter registration locations, including all Capitol Federal and Fidelity State Bank & Trust locations. Some voter registration locations will offer later hours, including the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, which will stay open tonight until 9 pm and will run from 9 am to 9 pm tomorrow. The Movie Magic store at 510 NW Broad St. opened registration at 1 pm today and will be open tomorrow at the same time, with the last opportunity to register at 9 pm tomorrow.
